Career history before joining LGMH?
After leaving school I started work for Daniel Footwear as a warehouse operative. I worked my way up to become a manager there. I have also worked as a security engineer, installing fire alarms, CCTV and intruder alarms.
Why did you want to join LGMH?
I live locally and my friend who works here put my name forward, he said I would be perfect for the job. I wanted a new challenge and to learn new skills and I knew that LGMH would give me that chance. I had the opportunity to complete Modular Mastery at the Training Academy and I got to try nearly every different section on the line.
What did you want to achieve when you joined the company?
I am passionate about what we do here at LGMH, if I’m going to do a job, I will do it right. I want to ensure that every house we build I could live in it; and I have high standards. I don’t want to cut corners, every day I put myself in the customers shoes and make sure that I am doing the best job possible and supporting my team.
What are your career aspirations now?
Since walking through the door, I have had my heart set on working my way through the ranks. I am already a Team Leader. I know there are 3 stages to becoming an effective Team Leader and then if the opportunity comes round to go into management. Ultimately, I would like to reach for the stars. I know I can do that at LGMH.
